National Tree Day 2023

Junior Infants have been learning about autumn and the different parts of the tree. They are now able to identify the trunk, branches and roots of the tree. They celebrated National Tree Day by going on a nature walk around our school looking for signs of autumn. The girls could point out lots of changes as there were lots of leaves on the ground and they could identify the different autumnal colours. They also looked at all of the different types of trees on our school grounds. We are so lucky to have such a vast array of species growing around our school from apple trees to oak trees.
