Polar Express Day December 2023

‘ALL ABOARD THE POLAR EXPRESS!’

What a fabulous day the infant classes had today! Today we had our own Polar Express movie day which was such a treat for the girls to have Christmas week. We have all read the story of the Polar Express & the girls really really enjoyed it. We then had to prepare for our own journey on the Polar Express!

We designed our own train tickets to bring with us. Each of the girls brought her dressing gown & some treats to have along the way. On our journey we visited some of the other classrooms & then made our way to the halla to watch the film of the Polar Express. There was so much excitement along the way! We then all sat together to watch the film & even had some hot chocolate – a real treat! The girls had such a great time.

After that, we had another special Polar Express activity – we designed our own Polar Express trains together in our table groups. It was wonderful seeing the girls work together to build & construct their trains using recyclable materials. We then did a show & tell at the end to discuss how we made them.
