April & May

Room 5 have been having a super time in term 3! It has been great to be able to get outdoors that bit more with the nicer & brighter days. We had our expert gardener, Paddy Madden in with us & he helped us to plant our broad bean seedlings outdoors – which are thriving! We also celebrated Bulebell’s Day, where our school ‘went blue for Bluebells’. We had a fabulous opportunity to visit our Bluebell’s classroom, which was a great experience.

We have been practicing our phonics through reading & writing activities daily – it’s great seeing the progress we have made this year! In maths, we have looked at money, time & weight. We love to use hands-on learning experiences in our class. In SESE, our themes have been about the zoo & the supermarket. We have read some lovely stories, completed writing activities & designed lots of artwork based on these themes. We also had our Active Week at the end of May, which was great fun! We had a super day at our junior sports’ day & we got involved in many active challenges & activities. We are already excited for June & the summer!
