Grandparents’ Day – Jan 30th

We had such a special day in room 5 celebrating our annual Grandparents’ Day. There was huge excitement preparing to welcome such special visitors to our lovely classroom. We performed 2 songs, Yellow Submarine & You are my Sunshine. We also performed the poem as Gaeilge Dhá Éinín Bheaga (Two Little Dickie Birds). Next, we showed our wonderful grandparents what great readers we are in senior infants, by reading our storybooks to them. It was great to welcome so many grandparents to our classroom & the girls had a wonderful morning. A huge thank you to all grandparents who travelled for the occasion!
