Senior infants have had a great start to 2026! We were all thrilled to be back into school and routine after the holidays. We have been super busy learning our digraph (double sounds) in phonics & we have become excellent at recognising & writing these in words. In maths, we explored 2D shapes in the environment & had great fun making shapes from lollipop sticks & magnatiles. Our strand for PE has been gymnastics, which was a great one for everyone to practise our climbing, rolling & tumbling skills! Our theme for the month has been the firestation. It was been so interesting learning about firefighters and the work they do daily to help people. We had a super role-play area for this theme & the girls loved dressing up as firefighters. Lastly, we had great fun making St. Brigid’s Day crosses from rushes with Ms. Flood’s 5th class.
