Bunscoil Bhríde Debating Team

October 21, 2022 #

Congratulations to our school debating team (Nevaeh Levingston, Claire Condron, Alice Beary, Ava Haughan, Rosie Donnelly, Emily Waters, Alice Russell, Ailbhe Walford, Abbie O Donnell and Nadia Piesik), who have just beaten Twomilehouse N.S. in the first round of the Primary Debating Festival 2022/23. The debate took place via Zoom, with our girls opposing the motion that “school uniforms should be a thing of the past”. Every team member put in such hard work and lots of preparation for today’s debate. The research and structure of the debates was a full team effort. Well done to the girls and to their mentors, Ms. Costello, Ms. Banks and Ms. Dillon. We look forward to progressing to the next round of the competition.
