On September 28th we celebrated National Fitness Day at school. The girls in room 2 massively enjoyed the day & all the activities!
We chatted about the benefits that movement & exercise has on our bodies. We also discussed different activities we like to do in our free time to keep active! We did lots of movement breaks in the classroom throughout the day (as always!) to keep our brains & bodies active. We even did a cosmic yoga session together in the evening! Ms. Marrinan’s 5th & 6th class also designed some different activities for us to complete in stations – the girls loved this! We had musical statues, obstacle courses & bean bag toss activities to name a few. We had so much fun!
Finally, we even had active homework to celebrate the day! The focus was on each of us getting out & moving our bodies to keep ourselves active & to feel good after!
