Next Saturday 4th of February will be a very exciting day for our 6th class members of the school choir. They will be going to the RDS in Dublin to perform in the Peace Proms concert with hundreds of other children from schools around Ireland. The girls have been practising hard with their choir leaders Ms de Faoite, Ms Rowley and Ms. Dillon. They performed for the whole school on Thursday 2nd February and both teachers and children thoroughly enjoyed their enthusiastic performance!
Peace Proms is an initiative of the renowned Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI). CBOI is Ireland’s most celebrated and award-winning youth orchestra. Peace Proms 2023 will be conducted by internationally acclaimed Maestro Greg Beardsell and the programme promises to be an epic ‘and thrilling celebration of youth, live music, and sheer talent with everything from rocking vocal and violin solos and majestic Bagpipe and Uilleann pipe melodies to powerful pop and peace anthems. We wish the girls all the best for this exciting event!
