STEM Week in Senior Infants

We had a super week this week in room 5, celebrating STEM Week. We did loads of fun STEM activities throughout the week. We had lots of ‘maths chats’ where we discussed maths around us. We did a maths trail around the school & played lots of maths games, like snakes & ladders. We even did our own skittles maths activity. We conducted the dancing raisins experiment using lemonade & raisins – it was great fun watching them dance! A big highlight for us was attending the 6th class science fair, where we got to see & try some super experiments! We also planned our own haunted house buildings, sketching out our ideas before building them with Lego & blocks. It was great fun trying out our ideas & seeing what may & may not work when building. Well done senior infants!
