Killinthomas Woods 2019

On Tuesday 30th April, fifth class visited Killinthomas Woods. Unimpeded by the damp weather conditions, we explored the woods under the wonderful guidance of local forester George Hipwell. We learned lots about the history of Killinthomas, and had a chance to closely study the wide variety of coniferous and deciduous trees there. We enjoyed the sight of the beautiful bluebells and the wonderful scent of the wild garlic. We count ourselves lucky to have this treasure on our doorsteps!
