On Thursday 9th May third class visited the Bog of Allen Nature Centre in Lullymore. The children got to participate in lots of fun activities, such as pond-dipping and frog-hunting, they even created a mini bog of their own, which they were able to bring back to their classroom!
The children learnt about the many different species of both plants and animals that inhabit the bog and had great fun using an identification wheel to identify the creatures they found. It was a very informative and enjoyable day!
