Christmas Play Preparations!
6th class have been extremely busy for the past few weeks preparing for their final Christmas play! Here they are painting the backdrop for the play. It looks amazing!
Creative Rathangan Walk
6th class attended a Creative Rathangan workshop which was facilitated by local artist Monica de Bath and local ecologist/historian Michael Jacob. The children worked in the Tannery Park searching for insects and small creatures as well as sketching the habitats and environments they observed. They then went to the library where they created their own creature and habitat using clay and materials collected in the park. They were also lucky enough to use a microscope to view a wasp and learned so much new information from Michael Jacob about this creature. The class really enjoyed the day!
6th class were busy this week creating diaramas. Each group created a diarama based on their favourite scene or chapter from our novel ‘Wildflower Girl’.
Lots of scary faces in 6th class for our annual Spooky Walk! 6th class led the school in a walk through the town. We met the Queen of hearts who give everyone a lollipop!
6th class took part in tag-rugby training with Community Rugby officer Officer Gráinne Vaugh. The class had lots of fun learning new skills!
